Top Cocktail Recipes to Try

There are many cocktail recipes out there. Some are firm favourites with many individuals, while others are only chosen by a small minority. You can make the cocktails at home with the right ingredients. Here are three great cocktail recipes to try, whether you’re just with your partner or you’re having a girly night in with friends.

The Grand Margarita

One of the popular options for sophistication is the grand margarita, and it is one of the easiest to make from home. All you need is some Grand Marnier, Tequila and lime juice. For one cocktail just mix a 50ml shot of tequila, with a 35ml shot of Marnier and 25ml shot of lime juice. If you’re making it for more, you’ll need to work it out for taste. Shake it all together with ice and serve in a short cocktail glass.

A Long Island Ice Tea

The Ice Tea from Long Island does have alcohol in it, so be careful with the amount you drink. Mix the same amounts of Captain Morgan, vodka, gin, tequila, orange liqueur, sugar syrup, lemon and lime juice together. Top with Cola and then a slice of lemon, and you have a very alcoholic cocktail recipe.

The Mango Fizz Mocktail

Not all cocktails have alcohol in them. Mocktails are great for those who don’t want to or can’t drink for any reason. The Mango Fizz is a great option and easy to make. Just add five mint leaves to the bottom of a glass, and then add 25mls of mango puree, lime juice and sugar syrup. Finally, pour in 125ml of ginger ale. Once it’s made, add some mint to garnish. This works best in a tall glass.

There you have three great cocktail recipes to try out for your next night in. They’re easy to make, and one of them doesn’t even involve alcohol. Once you’ve mastered these, you’ll be ready to try other great cocktail recipes out there.
